Sudbury's Art & Soul Gallery presents “PROJECT 365”
Artist Carmen Martorella is celebrating her accomplishment in fulfilling her daily art challenge of completing one painting daily for the past year starting from November 5th 2024.
She invites patrons to join her for a celebratory Art Exhibition and reception November 15 and 16, 10 am to 5 pm and view all of her 365 paintings.
"I am so delighted that the community has supported my project by following me online as I posted my daily paintings on Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and Tik Tok. This inspired me to continue to create throughout the year. My goal is to share my journey and stories, and encourage others to follow their dreams and ambitions.
I've painted during my travels to Florida, Nashville, Italy, London, weddings, funerals, illness and did not give up . I've had to paint with pool water, and sea water with limited brushes and palette. It's amazing what you can do with such little materials. I've painted through storms and sunshine in plein air outdoors. Some days I painted at 10 pm since I didn't have enough time during the day. I've painted on planes, cars, and buses. It's been a long journey. I'm almost there. Each painting is inspired by what moves me in the moment, using any medium that sparks my creativity. Each painting has a story which I would like to share with you.”
I’m proud to say that 2 of my daily paintings have been selected by the Sudbury Food Bank for their Christmas card campaign “Art of Dessert 2025”All proceeds from these pieces will be going to support the food bank.
